I chose the name Sprezzatura for my business when I decided to move back from Eastern Europe and focus solely on supporting and promoting cultural arts in Austin, Texas. Though it was difficult to leave my life-long dream of becoming a professional performer of traditional Hungarian dance, I realized over the years that I had much more to offer my community that I was not able to give while focusing on my craft. I found that through a deep love of Eastern European cultures, I had a unique opportunity to create awareness of them in my hometown of Austin, which I took as a call to action to preserve the cultural traditions I had learned while traveling, and enrich the lives of my fellow Texans who may not have known these customs even existed.
I began volunteering at local nonprofit organizations 12 years ago, and over the years have developed skills in fund raising event coordination, leadership, project management and strategic planning. In 2012 I decided to apply these skills and experiences to serving the Austin community full time.
After teaching and performing traditional dance all over the world for many years with different groups and helping them improve operations, develop educational programs, and coordinate events, I realized what an impact a well organized and sustainable nonprofit can make on the surrounding community, and what an asset it is to have the technological knowledge to carry cultural arts and history forward to the 21st Century through effective web design, social media marketing and promotion.
Since then I have been committed to helping a variety of nonprofit organizations achieve their developmental goals so that they may realize their vision. I am excited to have this opportunity to do that for your organization, and I look forward to helping further your mission in a way that is seamless, comprehensive, and as though effortless.
